Joe Mohr

“Some disturbing, some cute–all make me smile!”
-juror at a midwest art fair, summer of ’09

Joe began making people smile (and disturbing them?) with his paintings in 2006 when he took his cartoon style to the canvas. He’s enjoyed taking his art career in this direction. Joe appreciates the intimacy of interacting with a wide variety of patrons at art fairs. The feedback is always happy and positive and Joe’s come to realize, “if little kids had money, I’d be rich!”

Along with painting Joe also cartoons and writes for a variety of websites and businesses. More importantly Joe is a hubby and daddy…and bike lover, beekeeper, traveler, aspiring children’s author/illustrator, and above average green bean grower.

Hey Joe! You painted a fantastic painting at Christmas for my boyfriend (5 pets). Very sadly, I had to put my greyhound, Tucker, to sleep last week. And I was wondering if you’d be willing to paint one of her sometime for me. No rush…I just think it would be a wonderful tribute to her :)
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Joe, I too am named Joe Mohr. Some one at work made me aware of your works. I was shocked to see that you are based in St Louis as my roots are in Pinkneyville, Ill. I have several relative in the St Louis area and am curious to see if we may be related. Your paintings are very interesting and definitely not main stream. In the future my wife and I will be in contact with you about a purchase.
